The last Wednesday market of 2026 was Sept 30, in the Heartland Co-op parking lot while the Triangle is rebuilt. The 2027 dates aren't announced yet; see our market guide.

Warriors & Wolves Friday nights
Waukee High (Warriors) and Waukee Northwest (Wolves) fill the fall Friday-night slate, and meet head-to-head Oct 16 at Waukee Stadium. See our high school sports guide.

Paint a Pumpkin + Movie in the Park
Centennial Park, $10 per painter (reserve by Oct. 12), with a free showing of Hotel Transylvania at dusk.
Oct. 26
Trick or Trout
The Iowa DNR stocks the Triumph Park pond around noon; activities 11:30am to 2pm. Anglers 16 and up need a license and trout stamp.
Oct. 31
Trick-or-treat (Halloween)
Waukee trick-or-treating is on Halloween night, 6pm to 8pm, rain, snow or shine, per the City of Waukee. The city moved off the Oct. 30 Beggars' Night starting in 2025.

WinterFest
Waukee's free holiday kickoff in the Downtown Triangle. Santa and the Mayor light the tree in Triangle Park at 6pm, then Santa visits the Community Center. Full 2026 schedule still to come from the city.
